Educational Research Institute of America (ERIA) conducted a pretest-posttest study to evaluate the effectiveness of the Science Dimensions program in the early elementary grades in 11 schools. Grade 1 study participants included 28 teachers and 495 students, and Grade 2 participants included 26 teachers and 461 students. Results indicate that in both Grades 1 and 2, science achievement growth from pretest to posttest was statistically significant. In addition, both low- and high-achieving pretest students also increased their achievement at a statistically significant level.
